Handwriting tells so much about a person. Noted for her cursive loopy handwriting, Diedre wondered if there was a way to transpose her initials into something recognizable as her signature but completely independent. Initial Here is a series of five stenciled monotypes with viscosity inking that use aluminum stencils of Diedre’s initials to create a collaged fractal self portrait.
